They grow like weeds in our front yard, much to my husband&#8217;s dismay. While the pot is still somewhat plastic (soft), I press the leaf into the side. It then goes into the kiln, where the pot is hardened (bisque-fired) and the leaf is burned away. I then rub glaze on the left impression and wipe it off so that glaze remains in the the vein tracks. I then wax over the leaf area, and dip the rest of the pot in the glaze. The result is dramatic. I have also done this with viburnum leaves.
